8% of each purchase at LA Vie En Rose Boutique for the 2008 year will
be gong to HDSA.  We will be sending our donation around the holidays
with the hopes it brings cheer to people around such a warm time of year.

Donating to HDSA holds a very special place in the heart of La Vie En
Rose Boutique.  If you have ever seen someone suffer from HD it is
heartbreaking for the individual as well as the family. It is our goal to make
others aware of this disease and do what we can to help HDSA.  We want
the families to know there are people out there who are aware of the impact
this disease has had, and continues to have on many around the world.  We
want to lend a hand and let the families know they are not alone, we are here
to offer support and love; together we can hopefully one day put an end to
the pain inflicted by HD

The Huntington's disease Society of America (HDSA) is committed to
promoting and supporting research to find a cure, helping families and
communities affected by this disease and educating the public and healthcare
professionals about Huntington's disease (HD). HDSA provides vital support,
information and educational services to improve the lives of those affected by
HD, offer resources and guidance for HD families through our national network
of volunteer-based chapters and affiliates as well as through our HDSA Centers
of Excellence for Family Services and promote and support research to find a
cure for HD. HDSA currently supports more than 40 scientists and 17 major
HD laboratories in North America and around the world.

Since forever I can still hear my crackling, high-pitched voice engulfed with
excitement as I belted out my answer to that infamous question every adult
seems to ask “what do you want to be when you grow up?”  Although it changed
everyday I remember vividly I was hooked for quite some time on becoming
a vet, or maybe a marine biologist.  Although life has lead me in a different
direction I have found a way to bring alive my childhood dreams. 

We at La Vie En Rose Boutique plan to donate 2 % of your purchases within
a three-month time frame to a different Wildlife Conservation Society fund
every three months.  

Why WCS you ask?  Ranked 4 stars by Charity Navigator with 84.9%
of the donations going to program expenses all donations to WCS are helping
save wildlife and wild lands through careful science, international conservation,
education and the management of the world’s largest system of urban wildlife
parks, led by the flagship Bronx Zoo.
